Poly Chain® GT®2 Sprockets for Air Cooled Heat Exchangers

Markets/Applications
These Poly Chain GT2 Sprockets are designed for Air Cooled HeatExchanger (ACHE) applications commonly found in industries such as oil/gas production, petroleum refi ning, petrochemical and power generation.


Features/Advantages
  • Due to shorter length through bore and narrow design, sprockets havereduced weight for ease in mounting.
  • Taper-Lock® style bushings use less shaft space allowing the load tobe closer to the bearings.
  • Designed to eliminate shaft overhang.


    • Notes
    Sprocket part numbers are comprised of pitch, number of grooves and width. For example, part number F14MX-28S-37 denotes 14mm pitch, 28 grooves, “S” for sprocket and 37mm width.
    On a sprocket, pitch is the distance between groove centers and is measured on the pitch circle of the sprocket. The pitch circle of the sprocket coincides with the pitch line of the belt mating with it. The pitch diameter of the sprocket is always greater than its outside diameter.
    Abbreviations used for sprocket materials: GI = Gray Iron DI = Ductile Iron SiS = Sintered Steel CI = Cast Iron
    WARNING: Do NOT use these sprockets with rim speeds in excess of 6,500 fpm.
    WARNING: “F” SERIES SPROCKETS should be used with Motor Speeds greater than 575 RPM’s.
